As We Give, We Receive

As we give, we receive. 

As we receive, we give. 

In peace and joy, giving is never a loss.  Instead, it offers completeness.  Give support; you’ll receive support.  Give love, and you’ll find your own bucket has refilled.  Give away your favorite comic book, and what’s left?  Ok, not the comic book, but joy from sharing one of your treasures.  Handing off an item with love doesn’t translate to “now you have it and I don’t.”  The physical item is peripheral.  Your stuff may change hands, but when giving is done at the level of heart, the energy intensifies.  There is an energy underlying all transactions.  As a means to a selfish end, the disingenuous intention won’t result in happiness.  When you realize your treasures are of the heart, you can realize those are never given away… only shared.  Sharing only makes the meaningful stronger.  

Try this.  Give the gift of “hello” to a stranger.  Add eye contact and notice what’s happening in the undercurrent.  We can see the truth of our being and our connection in the simple presence in each encounter. 

As the recipient, acceptance is necessary.  Sharing an item, compliment or good deed is an interaction of connection between souls.  Look beyond the surface and choose to accept the love being offered you.  In doing so, the cycle is completed.  Completed, but not ended, as the recipient will share again.  The golden cords connecting us shine brightly with each interaction.  One after another leads to a web of Light. 

Active giving and active receiving light the path to a place of true happiness.
