I Believe in Miracles

I believe in loud miracles… Like my dog living 3 years (and counting) past her oral melanoma expiration date… Like actual hundred dollar bills floating on the breeze in a parking lot during an issue with an inequitable co-host… Like scalping Cubs tickets from Clarence, the angel from It’s a Wonderful Life, who approached us with 3 face value tickets right near the 2 we already had in a 30,000 seat stadium… Like the instant relief of excruciating pain with a pop of my neck during meditation… Like a burning bush (oh wait, that wasn’t me).

I believe in quiet miracles… Like a friend calling as I’m thinking of her… Like a podcast notification for a subject I was just planning to study… Like an unexpected kind note from a daughter’s friend… Like a stranger smiling when I’m feeling low… Like suddenly seeing someone’s outburst from their pain rather than my own.

What qualifies as a miracle? Anything that moves us closer to noticing we are all connected to each other and to our divine Source. Anything that fosters our forgiveness of ourselves and others. Anything that shifts our perception to our core Self and away from the tiny box of humanity. Anything that enhances love for both the giver and recipient. Anything that reminds us of our natural abundance. Anything that points toward Truth and corrects errors in our hearts and minds. Anything that pokes a hole in our isolation theory. Anything that shifts our perspective from fear to Love. Sometimes they dance in with pomp and circumstance, and sometimes they quietly wait for us to notice.

I do believe miracles are always available to us. We just need to prepare by opening our hearts with the awareness of connection, authenticity and Love and (really important…) be willing to accept them.

Reach out your open hands to receive and then keep them open to share.

Wishing you Love and Miracles.
