A Discussion of Goat Cheese
So, I was interested in goat cheese for variety. However, turns out I’m not a fan of plain goat cheese (although Sophie loves it).
Did you know you can spice it?
Mix it with
A touch of olive oil
Minced garlic
Sage
Rosemary
Salt
Pepper
It’s delicious.
What to do with it then? I stuffed dates with it (slice the dates down the middle, pull out the pit and add a spoonful of goat cheese). If you’re getting crazy, wrap the date with half slice of bacon. Cook at 375* for about 20 minutes. Make sure your bacon is cooked, then you’re done. Fancy schmancy.
I suppose you could add it to a dark green salad. I’m guessing it would be good with carrots, red cabbage, kale and/or beets.
The short discussion of goat cheese parallels my goat cheese interest. Excellent in small servings.
