You Are Valuable.

You Are Valuable.

Your interests, passions and talents are gifts for all of us.

Big statement. Where’s the proof?

When you think of the most extraordinary people you know, they may differ by skills, accomplishments, contributions, experience, culture.

You may think of the kind elder neighbor, a popular talk show host, a musician, a singer with the voice of an angel, an indescribable athlete, a brilliant artist, the nonprofit founder, an influential teacher, the friendly barista, a compassionate healer, an inspiring songwriter, the environmental activist, a smiling neighborhood bicyclist.

What is the common thread?

Each lives authentically. Embracing their own unique personalities while following the guidance of their hearts, their best life emerges, and as it surfaces, it necessarily ripples outward. We are touched by those who explore and enhance, and live, their own passions and talents.

Simply being Yourself is not just a beautiful gift, it’s the ultimate gift.

Yes, we’re still being responsible and respectful. But, notice the ease with which that respect comes when you’re happy with yourself. When cranky, it can be a struggle. When we work to fulfill obligations and societal expectations, we may expend incredible effort and receive some accolades, but there’s a lid on that box. Because that box has been built by not-you, and although you’ve (perhaps unconsciously) accepted it, you can strive to climb high within it, but it’s still a box.

When you grow and expand in your own full potential, guided by heart and desire, the expansion is not confined. It’s boundless. You are boundless. True freedom of the personality serving the soul soars and dances in divine creation.

What do you appreciate?

Where does your attention linger?

What catches your eye?

What feels easy and natural?

When do you lose track of time?

What do you approach with energy and excitement?

When do you feel larger than life?

Where does beauty emerge in your life?

What’s the first thing you would choose to do with a blank calendar page?

Sometimes we lose sight of our interests, passions, desires. Life gets busy. There are a lot of obligations. You may spend years not even considering your own interests. Yet, exploring your gifts and passions is not selfish. These are treasures presented to you. Reach out and accept them. Dust them off and display their unfolding prominently.

How would life change if you were to not only spend time noticing your own gifts, but nurturing them? Those gifts are waiting patiently for your inspiration. What would it be like to live out loud?

Be authentically you.

What does that mean to you? Sometimes we see ourselves through the reflections of others. The reflections may be sparkling or they may be clouded. How can you see your own crystal clear, brilliant reflection? Igniting the passions at your core will illuminate your being.

As you shine brightly, you may inspire your tribe. How might your family benefit? Could that perhaps be permission for them to uncover their own best selves?

The deeper truth is “I am Valuable.” Repeat often to polish your brilliance.
