Perception: Truth
Years ago, a new friend asked about my interests, dreams and ambitions.
Uhhh… blank. I hadn’t thought about myself recently (ok, in years).
I knew how many kids should be strapped in carseats when I left the house. I knew I’d better have Sara the doll, Blackie the stuffed dog, the purple blankie, and snacks. I knew to keep my kids safe, clean(ish) and fully Loved. Later, another friend lovingly pointed out that caring unconditionally for children is its own wonderful ambition and accomplishment. True, and I’m goin’ with it.
But, how many times are we too busy to even notice our own selves? …Not to mention all the other individuals around us. We zip ceaselessly along as Life sits kicked back in a lounge chair waiting for us to notice her.
In this moment, notice yourself. What are you feeling? What fuels your flame? What are your current interests - not your childhood sport? What energizes you and shines from your eyes?
When you nurture your interests and discover your passions and purpose, the landscape of Life brightens. The puzzle pieces fall into place. Ease joins your efforts.
When you nurture your family and friends in their interests, new dimensions are added to your own Life.
When you appreciate the authenticity and accomplishments of strangers, your own field of support strengthens.
What if… we actively seek our Truth?
